Kiddie Academy Brier Creek
Kiddie Academy of Brier Creek’s main goal with this project is to reduce the amount of poured-in-place surfacing to naturalize and add more variety to their outdoor learning environment.
A top priority in the twos/preschool area and the infant/toddler area this year is to remove a large poured-in-place area in the middle of both of these spaces and replace it with a grassy lawn. Planting trees for increased shade and biodiversity is also an immediate goal, as well as installing a low multipurpose deck along the fence in the twos/preschool area.
In addition, they are also planning on installing raised planters on the edges of the poured-in-place surfacing to remain, to naturalize the outdoor learning environment and provide opportunities for fruit and vegetable gardening.
