Brandon Dupree

Design Assistant
Brandon Dupree, MLA, ASLA, is a Design Assistant at the Natural Learning Initiative where he aids in the design of outdoor learning environments. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from NC State University where he focused his studies on the benefit of learning through the landscape and the opportunities nature offers to childhood development.

Brandon grew up in the rural town of Willow Spring, North Carolina where as a child he remembers navigating the woods behind his home. There in the “forest” he built bridges, forts and dams out of natural materials as well as leading friends through the woods to show them ‘hidden relics’ throughout the remnant woodland.
